KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1) TEST STRATEGY & PLANNING
Define and document test plans, cases and “exit criteria” covering unit, integration, UI and end‑to‑end scenarios
Prioritize coverage for new features, high‑risk areas and past defects
2) AUTOMATED TESTING
Frontend: Jest & React Testing Library, Cypress or Playwright
Backend/API: Mocha/Chai & Supertest, Postman/Newman
Python services: pytest and integration scripts
Integrate regression suites into CI pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) for quality gates
3) MANUAL & EXPLORATORY TESTING
Execute hands‑on testing of workflows, edge cases, error states and fallbacks
Validate cross‑browser/device compatibility and accessibility (WCAG)
4) ALGORITHM & DATA VALIDATION
Design tests to verify correctness of AI/ML outputs, labeling scripts and data pipelines
Compare live results against expected datasets; identify drift, bias or anomalies
5) PERFORMANCE & SCALABILITY TESTING
Conduct load, stress and spike tests with JMeter, Locust or k6 to assess stability under peak loads
Benchmark response times; verify caching, rate‑limiting and graceful degradation
6) SECURITY, COMPLIANCE & VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENTS
Perform OWASP Top 10 checks, pen‑tests and automated scans (OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite)
Ensure EU GDPR, SOC 2 and other regulatory requirements are met throughout development
7) DATABASE INTEGRITY & VERIFICATION
Write and run MongoDB (and other NoSQL/SQL) queries to confirm data consistency, indexing and clean‑up routines
Validate CRUD operations, audit trails and rollback/fallback mechanisms
8) DEFECT MANAGEMENT & REPORTING
Log detailed bug reports with clear reproduction steps, severity and impact
Track fixes, retest resolved issues and help prevent regressions
9) COLLABORATION & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Partner with developers, product owners and UX designers to clarify requirements and improve testability
Advocate “shift‑left” practices; mentor peers on QA tooling, processes and compliance best practices
QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of QA experience in web or AI‑centric products
Hands‑on with automated testing frameworks for Node/React (Jest, Mocha, Cypress) and Python (pytest)
Proficient in API testing with Postman/Newman
Experience with performance tools (JMeter, Locust, k6) and security scanners (Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP)
Strong manual testing skills, including accessibility and exploratory testing
Solid MongoDB querying expertise (and SQL knowledge a plus)
Familiarity with CI/CD integration (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
Knowledge of EU GDPR, SOC 2 or similar compliance standards
Excellent communication, documentation and teamwork skills
